EXHIBITIONS

In Otro Diseño, we consider exhibitions as the most exciting way to bring innovative and meaningful design products to the public. Often merging the fields or art and design, we conceive and generate exhibitions in ways that interest and fascinate the audience and that fit in diverse locations: galleries, museums, shops, academies and other less conventional venues. We develop original museographic discourses able the communicate the concept and function of a product, the intentions and the cultural background of the designer in an easy and joyful way. This approach provides the best way to test prototypes and ideas or to introduce new products to a general audience.

Otro Diseño plans, implements and manages exhibitions for museums, shops, companies, embassies, and institutions. Collaborating with a wide range of curators, designers and service providers, we are able to offer an integral service that includes concept definition, development, implementation, communication and management.

Understanding the implications and impact of globalization, we stimulate designers and jewellery makers from around the world to share ideas and expertise among them, to engage in joint ventures that help them to find unusual and sustainable materials, consolidate their production and make their work unique and appealing to each other's markets.

We connect designers, producers, manufacturers and enterprises to work on the improvement, development and commercialization of design products that appeal an international market. For those designers interested to work in cooperation with designers from around the world, to find specific materials or production techniques or to exhibit, promote and commercialize their work internationally, we offer:

• Evaluation of prototypes or existing design products from a perspective of the international consumer

In Otro Diseño, we strive to find new and exciting ways to bring the best design products to an international audience. We organize design exhibitions and events periodically, that propose the audience a more personal way to relate with design. These events often have products that the public can buy directly and also provide them the opportunity to meet and talk with some of the designers we promote.

Our New Program for Jewellery Collectors

In response to the interest of our clients in the work of the jewellery makers that we have promoted, we have developed a new program for collectors of contemporary jewellery. This program aims to educate the public about the importance of jewellery as a form of art and to assist galleries, collectors, museums and general public to start, enhance, strengthen, conserve and exhibit their jewellery collections. For jewellery collectors and galleries we offer:

• Private, corporate or institutional art jewellery consulting
• Exhibition design for the display of jewellery collections
• Conferences and publications for galleries, museums, institutions and corporations
• Organization of art jewellery exhibitions for galleries and museums.
• Organization and management of art jewellery booths in international art fairs.

INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATION OF DESIGNERS

In Otro Diseño we believe that designers should do what they do best: design. And let the hard work of promoting their work to others. We understand how time and effort consuming is to look for venues to exhibit their work, organize exhibitions and to look for new clients; especially if venues and clients are in other countries.

Otro Diseño offers a representation programme for designers and jewellery makers who are interested in the artistic or commercial promotion of their work. Understanding design as a tool to make life better, we favour those projects and designers that take social, environmental and ethical issues into consideration.

We like to promote and commercialize good products, but we like even more to work together with the designers that create them. We pride in establishing close happy, long and trusting relationships with our clients and seek to know the person behind each product we promote. So our representation programme offers packages that are created together with each individual designer and are tailored to meet their current needs and objectives.
